Justin France and The Select Few CD Release Show to Support HeartStrings

Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Local Wichita band Justin France and The Select Few are joining the HeartStrings movement. They will donate part of the proceeds from each CD sold at their release show this Saturday, February 19 at the Orpheum Theatre. The funds they raise will help provide guitar lesson training and materials for kids in Nicaragua.

Justin France and the Select Few will perform with special guests Kandace Mars and Elliot Road. In their announcement, the band said, "We will be performing songs from the new album 'Better Than You Found Me (For KL)' along with some new and old stuff. This is a very special night for us so we have decided to give back. We will be charging five dollars at the door but all of that money will go to the Orpheum to help them. Also on this evening we will be charging ten dollars for the album but eight of that will be going to a few charities!! So please come out and have a great time and celebrate life, love and music with us while raising money for good causes!!"

Wichita's monthly "First Friday" music crawl will be presented by HeartStrings on December 3. Various locations will be accepting donations to help sponsor guitars for kids in Nicaragua.

Delores & the Pickin' Fretter - "Music at the Hill"

Join us for great music at College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. First St. here in Wichita. A portion of donations will go to HeartStrings.

We have 90 guitars sponsored. Be one of the people to help us reach the goal of 200.
Wichita Acoustic Showcase

Friday, October 1, 2010 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Elliot Road, Nikki Moddelmog, Raging Sea and Ryan Windham will perform at the Orpheum Theater this Friday. Featuring four of Wichita's best-known acoustic bands, this promises to be a great evening packed with local talent. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Nikki Moddelmog and Elliot Road are both active supporters of HeartStrings and have created videos to help spread the word. They will have HeartStrings flyers available at their merchandise table during the concert.
KMUW 'Fill Your Mug' Event

Delores and the Pickin'-Fretter will be playing tonight, Friday, July 30th from 6:30-9pm at the KMUW 'Fill Your Mug' Event. Heartstrings flyers will be available on request from the band.
